concession = a thing that is granted, especially in response to demands; a thing conceded

(the strikers returned to work having won some concessions)

 

Granted = admittedly; it is true (used to introduce a factor which is opposed to the main line of argument but is not regarded as so strong as to invalidate it)

 

Concede = admit that something is true or valid after first denying or resisting it

(I had to concede that I'd overreacted)

 

deliberate = done consciously and intentionally

(a deliberate attempt to provoke conflict)

 

comply = act in accordance with a wish or command

(we are unable to comply with your request.)

 

Repel = drive or force (an attack or attacker) back or away

(government units sought to repel the rebels.)

 

Pass a bill = 법안을 가결하다

 

Proprietary  = relating to an owner or ownership

(the company has a proprietary right to the property.)

 

Verdict = a decision on a disputed issue in a civil or criminal case or an inquest

(the jury returned a verdict of ‘not guilty.’.)

 

dispute = argue about (something); discuss heatedly

(he taught and disputed with local poets)

 

Heated = made warm or hot; inflamed with passion or conviction

 

conviction = a formal declaration that someone is guilty of a criminal offense, made by the verdict of a jury or the decision of a judge in a court of law

(she had a previous conviction for a similar offense.)

 

Inquest = a judicial inquiry to ascertain the facts relating to an incident, such as a death

 

Inquiry = an act of asking for information

(a reporter from New York makes inquiries)

 

Negligible = so small or unimportant as to be not worth considering; insignificant

(sound could at last be recorded with incredible ease and at negligible cost.)

 

Arbitrary = based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system

(his mealtimes were entirely arbitrary.)

 

whim = a sudden desire or change of mind, especially one that is unusual or unexplained

(she bought it on a whim)

(he appeared and disappeared at whim.)
